ODAC Mount Belumut 30may-1juneMount Belumut.. or in english.. mount "moss".. after the trip.. i think it should be named Mount Leeches instead.. its filled with it..
so anyway.. MJ ODAC met early in the morn.. like 6.30am? and we were on our way shortly after.. ok.. maybe not so soon.. me and eugene still had time to play basketball in the dark for a while.. lol..
and so.. like every other overseas trip to malaysia.. the people on the bus tend to get a little.. erm.. bored in a sense.. or rather to put it in a polite way.. =).. mockery of each other's passport photos.. sleeping in the most candid of ways.. the almighty time-killer game of bridge.. and the most dramatic.. indian poker!! the forfeit was truth or dare.. and no.. there ain't no juicy details for u viewers.. what goes on in ODAC.. stays in it.. that was the rule.. =)..

and i thought we were going to the mountain on an empty stomach.. lol.. i was so horribly wrong!! we actually stopped to have breakfast.. haha.. the food is CHEAP but small in portion.. zzz.. i had cant remember how many servings man.. i juz kept eating!

that was what i ate.. the blue and red plates!
and so we reached the mountain!! aft i think 4hours of traveling.. i think it was more of laughter and scandals revealed more than anything.. haha.. we all thought we were gonna pitch our tents and ascend the mountain immediately.. but we were given 3hours of R&R.. wah. i thought it only happened in NCC.. lol.. and so.. we became cam whores.. haha..

R&R was soon over.. and we began a 1hour trek.. supposedly meant to prep us for the climb.. we crossed rivers.. scaled very steep slopes with almost no footings.. and became food for leeches.. gosh.. the ground was filled with it.. the river was filled with it.. and we had to cross it with water at our neck level! thank god my camera was in zhi wei's waterproof pouch!! phew.. was so darn worried.. plus.. it had to rain.. yup.. rain.. zzz.. the river became more rough and the tide came in.. making the crossing even harder.. i was a bait for leeches.. ok.. not so.. 5 came on me but i took em out before it started to feed on me.. ying fang liying and eugene were worse.. kenyston the worst.. the first 3 had leeches on em in various places.. mainly the hand and legs.. of which many i help take out.. lol.. maybe cuz i cant stand em screaming! its painful for the ears k.. kenyston found it in erm.. his boxers.. ok.. enough said..

the following day.. we finally started our hike up and down the mountain.. which stands at 1010m.. rather short really.. compared to mount ophir.. but the terrain is way more challenging.. its super steep!
the light there was very bad.. so i didn take much photos.. and it started to rain b4 we reached the summit.. we were juz 5min away from it.. darn..
