Day 0 Time[2330 GMT+8] Place[Changi Airport]
it was probably the first time i walked into airport only to be greeted by the sights of Team Singapore.. the bodybuilding team to be precise.. it seemed that they were leaving for Doha only that night, all smartly clad in their red blazer, proudly bearing the singapore flag sewn across their right breast pocket.
OK off topic.. it was finally time for me to depart for Korea and commence the long awaited 8days trip, wait its 7days.. the first day is spent in the airport and in the plane.. actually.. the last day is 2hours in airport.. lol.. so no count.. amid the long boring wait in line to check-in our luggaue.. guess who i saw?

YIHAN.. apparently she is also going on the same plane as me.. PLUS.. same trip as me.. BUT different tour group.. lol.. guess we wont see each other much during the trip after all.. probably only again when we return back to singapore in the airport.. haha.. in case u were wondering what i meant by different tour groups.. i was in CTC.. yihan was in Chan Brothers.. there was also ASA.. so yup.. 3 tour groups.. all waiting for 2am to board the plane and sleep.. lol.. yup.. our flight was designated such an unearthly hour.. acutally.. it was not meant to be this way.. we were initially given a Singapore Airlines flight but it was cancelled and replaced with an Asiana flight.. what difference could it make right? well.. actually. a big difference.. firstly.. the cost is much cheaper.. by $200 per head for the ticket? we boarded a 737 instead of the normal 747.. the space given to each passenger was small, hardly any movements could be made without hitting the chair infront of me.. if that was not bad enough.. the in flight entertainment consisted of one main screen in front.. and not the individual LCD screens we grow all to farmiliar with.. so much for watching movies at my own will.. sigh..
Day 1 Time[0930 GMT+9] Place[Incheon International Airport]

we landed in Incheon International Airport, hoped onto our bus and headed down for lunch.. KOREAN LUNCH.. wheez.. well that was the emotion i had for the first few days..
this was the building we arrived to and was presented with a rather sumptous lunch.. what our tour guide.. elaina told us was mushroom steamboat..[i later realised the ingredients differed only slightly in every dish despite the different names].. nevertheless.. such a meal would have cost us a lot to eat in singapore and we tuck in.. me first one to swoop down on the

kimchi.. i juz love its taste.. [yes i like kimchi.. its nice ok?] o ya.. did i mention the side dish it came with and all ingridients in the steam boat was "refillable".. yup.. we could eat all we want.. wahahaha..
alright.. we proceeded to the domestic airport to board our flight to Jeju Island.. yes.. if u ppl recall from da chang jin.. it was the island chang jin was thrown into when she was condemn to become a slave.. BUT.. did u know that jeju island was formed due to a volcanic eruption? yup.. it means that jeju is simply one massive mass of volcanic rock.. ok.. so the domestic airport can be compared to our budget terminal which has been said to have budget security.. well.. it aint the case for korea domestic airport.. while waiting for my parents to get our boarding pass.. a group of police passed me.. i didn take much notice initially till i saw them carrying what appeared to be a downsized version of the M-16.. but i cant be sure.. they turned and i saw the emblem on their sleeve.. SWAT.. Korea acutally had SWATs patrol their airports.. omg.. yes. it was that exaggerative..
i had to admit.. the domestic airport surpassed my expectations.. it was so splendidly furnished and decorated.. and.. KOREAN BABIES ARE SO CUTE..

now u know why right.. lol... it seemed to take a notice towards my camera.. crawling towards me, poking at it.. o did i mention that instead of water coolers.. water dispensers were provided and paper cups to go along with it? yup.. =P

ok.. so we boarded our domestic flight.. and this time it was a 767.. if i am not mistaken.. it is the same model as those used in our budget terminal.. those with 3 seats on both sides and one narrow central aisle.. it was an hour's flight to Jeju and so it passed.. partly due to the fact that i did not get much sleep while on the flight to Korea.. i mean.. the seat was uncomfortable?

ok.. so we reached Jeju and we headed to a.. erm...~~TEDDY BEAR MUSEUM!!~~ can u believe one acutally existed? my gosh.. ok... i'll just post pictures for this section..

WW2.. D-Day.. Battle of Normandy.. wonder why was it not the battle of the barge instead.. its more significant..

such a beautiful sky..

did i mention the lalangs there are super tall? [me 1.8m lalang 2.2m?]

we had seafood for dinner.. its steamboat again..

this is about the only meal where the dishes were different from the rest.. lol
retired back to our first of 5hotels.. Lotte Jeju..

this is day time on the 2nd day..

the formation of Jeju Laser Show.. its a letdown really.. lol.. o yes.. the hotel we reside in that night.. cost US600 per room a night.. lol.. but we got it at a lower price.. not sure exactly how much lower.. but its a relief to know that right? right?
so that concludes the first day.. stay tuned to the rest of it.. tink abt 4-5 more posts?.. till then.. signing off.. =D
