Day3 Time[0730 GMT+9] Place[Jeju Pacific Hotel]

waking up is still a chore.. espcially since korea is an hour ahead of Singapore.. either ways.. we went down to a harbor to have our breakfast.. and to my horror.. coffee cost 100won.. that's abt 17cents.. anyone would be bewildered.. or i inquired.. apparently.. coffee would be served on the house.. meaning its free.. but the fact that they are served in disposable cups made the government imposed a fine on those who gave out free coffee.. well.. u see korea has a major waste disposal problem.. the country was generating too much waste and land was running out to store these waste items.. later on in the trip.. we would be able to witness a hill.. which i initially thought was a natural formation.. but it was a landfill site.. after years of disuse of cuz.. allowing nature to spring to life over it.. it is rather shocking though.. how much waste a region can produce.. either ways.. the picture above is a view of the harbour a stone's throw away from where we ate.

we proceeded to what it is called the mysterious road.. what was so mysterious about it? well.. the bus we were on would move by itself as it "moved" along it.. the bus driver took out the keys proving to us that the engine had been killed.. switched off.. here's the catch..some of you may think that before the engine was switched off, enough energy would have been generated to push the bus along.. well.. the street is UPHILL.. so even if it was so.. gravity would have gotten the better of it and dragged the bus down with it.. so what caused the bus to move? haha.. u guys can tell me the answer on the tagboard[which is like.. erm.. dead?] or by MSN[which i think most of you would prefer using].. *i wonder what kind of answers you people would conjure*

ok.. so it was off to the airport and goodbye to Jeju Island.. and hello Deagu! the airport there was apparently a military airport for the United States as well.. how i knew? cuz i saw the united states airforce logo on the planes.. but then again.. i saw several F-15s.. which is also used in South Korea Air Force.. ok.. OFF TOPIC..
so either ways.. they dropped us off in the airfield as you can see in the photo.. it's the first time it happened to me.. espcially since Daegu Airport was an international airport as well.. did it matter? i was able to take this photo which is rare these days.. looking at the increased amounts of security measures which has been implemented since 911.. i was hesitant about taking the photo initially.. about the probabilty that we may be confronted by police in the area.. but heck.. =X..

so went off to a farm shortly after, why are we going to a farm in winter anyway? no idea really.. but it didn't really mattered.. o yes.. their scarecrows are really out of the ordinary.. an example would the one in the photo.. interesting ain't it? haha.. we also made Korean New Year cake.. which is like mua chee.. but made of mashed rice.. so we.. the tourists were asked to hold something like wooden sledgehammers and slam it down on the rice on the table.. so we did.. and it was one heck of a mess.. best part? we were asked to eat it after it was cut up and flossed with peanuts.. anyone would be horrified to actually consume the food.. but i did eventually.. and it actually tasted really nice!

we also BBQ sweet potatoes and gosh.. it tastes so nice..i really feel its kinda wasted to only use it as an ingridient in soup.. or at least thats whats happen to me.. hmm.. maybe i should have this in the next BBQ i attend or organise.. its gonna be so nice.. =P.. and then comes the most torturous part of the holiday trip.. nvm the fact that all 60 of us were squeezed into a cart tugged by a tractor used on a farm.. it was about -4C out there and when the tractor tolled us around the farm once.. which lasted about 15min... the wind howled at us.. u can imagine how cold it was.. it would placated if the view around the farm was nice.. but all i saw were plants with no leaves on it.. not a tinge of green.. yes.. it seemed rather desolated..
that aside.. we went for SPA at the Daegu SPA valley.. its exactly what we see on TV when japanese people or anime characters go into hot pools of water.. well.. almost.. this one had both indoor and outdoor.. indoor having a range of variation.. mulberry, red pine, aromatic.. cold bath.. and yes.. every one was naked in there.. of cuz both males and females were seperated.. lol.. it felt really weird initially going into a public area naked.. and gosh.. i saw too many naked men in one day.. after the SPA.. i came out and placed my foot into a pond.. where small fishes gathered around my feet and started eating the dead skin on it.. it was really ticklish..

u can see em right? lol..
and so that was Day 3..
