have you ever stop

how true is this statement.. we never seem to notice the wonderful scenery we walk pass every single day.. the teachers we find are extremely irritating.. never finding out their true motive.. yet we continue to irritate them.. torment them with our inattentiveness.. sleeping openly in class.. one prime example would be during miss yeap lesson today.. charles, wei ming, gab soh and shing cheun were sleeping.. OPENLY.. we tried several times to wake them up in vain.. she finally opened up her feelings and announced that we should just leave them alone and let them fail their exams.. harsh as it may sound.. that is the message these students are sending her..
well probably they are putting this across

cher.. u r going through something we already know and have repeated many times before.. i am now sleeping to show to you that i am "capable" of passing the exams without your help.. and of cuz.. u r boring..

many of you may object to this statement.. but thats wad the teacher gets when they see you sleeping in class.. maybe you guys have a different variation.. but nevertheless... its all the same.. u may also object saying that it is not true... one word.. EXCUESES.. u know it yourself and it is worthless to carry on an arguement with someone whos mind is just so adamant.. weak in a sense that it is afraid to face the truth, the fear of getting mocked at the people they call friends..

friends.. what are they exactly.. all of us have different variations of it..

A person whom one knows, likes, and trusts.

A person whom one knows; an acquaintance.

A person with whom one is allied in a struggle or cause; a comrade.

these are the definitions that is given by dictionary.com
one who we know like and trust.. knowing and "liking" is simple.. but trust.. is that something easily achieved? we are afraid to tell most of our "friends" things as we are afraid that they may gosip about it and let the whole world know about it.. that definitely is not TRUST.. ppl "trusting" you not to expose their wrongdoings also aint TRUST.. believe me.. i been through this and know this first hand.. so dun even bother arguing your point with me..

point 2.. someone we know; an acquaintance.. this probably describes most of the people we know.. the thing that we do not know is somewhere amongst them is the one one can truly call a friend.. someone u can confide to.. someone u can trust.. we just have to know them better.. and to do so.. we have to break that mentality that cuz they are not cool or are disliked by others does not mean we cannot befriend them..

point 3 whom one is allied in a struggle or cause; a comrade... we they stand by you when u are in trouble? will they call to ask how are you when u are absent from school? will they assist you and wish you all the best in all your undertakings? i know who they are in my community of friends.. but do you? i know they have called to ask or smsed to see how was i when i was absent last year.. when i had chicken pox.. one even came over to wish me all the best and a speedy recovery.. do you?

isnt it abt time we start thinking abt the friends we associate with? i done my assestment.. abt time u did yours..
